Surface Mount Ceiling Domes

Add depth and character with our surface mount ceiling domes.

Our domes are made of Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum: 100% noncombustible (unlike polyurethane & wood), crack & shrink resistant (unlike stone or wood), insect resistant (unlike wood), and extremely durable.

We can also create custom domes of nearly any size, and as simple or ornate as you desire. Our availability and lead times for custom domes depend upon the season.

Features & Advantages

Easy installation (see 1-page install ideas).
Comes in paint grade finish (i.e. ready to lightly sand, and apply primer and finish coats); providing near-limitless faux, metallic, plaster, and other finish possibilities.
Complements many lighting motifs. Some dome with lighting cove (i.e. a shelf for lighting).

Made of Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum that is 100% noncombustible, crack, shrink, and insect resistant, and extremely durable.

24" Rotunda Medallion

Dimensions: 24" Diameter x 2-11/16" projection (i.e. depth) from ceiling; "Dome" portion is 15" Inner Diameter x 1" deep.
Simulates a surface mount dome and is ideal for limited space applications.

Limited Height Option:
If you have height restrictions, we can also create elliptical Wall-to-Ceiling Cove that simulates a Round Recessed Ceiling Dome. Often designed to go flush with your drywall, you would simply drywall the center, and perfatape the recessed edges. You could also use an optional standard light cove around it.
